Great Northern Sportsman Series schedule change at Tomah Sparta Raceway

(3/19/2016)

March 17, 2016

Tomah, WI – Tomah Sparta Raceway (TSR) and The Great Northern Sportsman Series (GNSS) will modify the schedule for return of GNSS to TSR. The original show scheduled for Friday night June 10th will be moved to Friday night June 17th.

TSR is looking forward to welcoming back GO Racing Promotions and the GNSS drivers. The June 17th show will culminate with a 40 lap feature.  For those familiar with TSR, 40 laps can be a challenge for the best drivers and their cars as TSR's asymmetric 1/3 mile oval truly makes the track a drivers track.

Along with GNSS, Tomah will also be hosting the GO Racing Promotions' Midwest Dash (MWD) Series August 5th with a 30 lap feature. The new Midwest Dash was unveiled at last years Oktoberfest Race Weekend at the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway.

TSR will open the 2016 race season on Sunday May 8th with it's annual Rust Buster. This year’s Rust Buster will include the Kim Parson Memorial Trophy Tour. The tour currently is slotted for 51 events during the 2016 season. The tour is setup to promote organ and tissue donation in remembrance of Steve Parsons' daughter Kim who passed away at age 21 in 2008.

TSR will race Sundays in May with the gates opening at noon and racing starting at 3pm. Racing action switches to Friday nights starting June 3rd with the Dog Days of Summer.
