GMP Fans Cash In On Free Open Test This Evening, Two Hot Nights - One Big Discount Promotion

JEFFERSON, GA (August 13, 2010) – Gresham Motorsports Park will host open test this evening for all divisions participating in Saturday’s five division racing program.
Tonight’s test will be open to all Pro Late Models, Outlaw Late Models, Trucks, Renegade Street Stocks and Mini-Stocks competing in Saturday’s race with the pit gate opening at 4 p.m. and rotating divisions testing from 6-9 p.m.
There is no inspection fee for this test and pit passes are just $20. A two-day, weekend pit pass will also be available for $55 Friday. Sunoco 110 race fuel will be available to purchase at this test.
The public is welcome to view the open test free of charge from the GMP Trackside Parking Area.
Meanwhile, fans looking for a bit of good luck on Friday, the 13th weekend will be happy to take advantage of GMP’s Two Hot Nights – One Big Discount ticket promotion.
The promotion allows fans to buy adult general admission tickets this Saturday’s GMP Pro Late Model program and the August 28 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East event for just one low price - $30.
The discount offer is good today from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the GMP Track Office or by calling 706-367-9461 and tomorrow at the GMP Box Office. Tickets are also available on line at http://greshammotorsportspark.ticketforce.com.
Gresham Motorsports Park accepts Visa, Master Card and Discovery.
In addition to the five-division race card this Saturday, GMP will host the largest autograph session in the history of the track as drivers in all divisions will be signing autographs for the fans beginning at 6:30 p.m. GMP has created a special limited edition collectible autograph item especially for this event.
Meanwhile, members of the Jefferson High School Marching Band will be on hand to provide musical entertainment throughout the evening and select fans will be able to race a go kart on the Gresham Motorsports Park track at intermission for prizes as part of the Funopolis FanTastic Challenge.
The Saturday, August 28 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East event will mark the return of NASCAR to Gresham Motorsports. NASCAR’s top driver development division, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East division will invade the GMP facility for a 150-lap main event that evening. It will be the first time since 1987 that the track will host a NASCAR touring series event and the race will mark the only NASCAR short-track stock car touring series will visit the state of Georgia this year.
Drivers expected to race in the NKNPSE event at GMP are defending series champion Ryan Truex, Ty Dillon, Ryan Gifford, Darrell Wallace, Jr., Brett Moffitt, Matt Kobyluck, Kevin Swindell, Jody Lavender and Georgia’s own Max Gresham.
The GMP Grandstand and Trackside Parking for this Saturday’s event will open at 2 p.m. Opening Ceremonies are set for 7 p.m. with the first race taking the green flag at 7:30 p.m. sharp.
