Armed Forces Night at Macon Speedway Plus Monster Truck “Raminator”

 Macon, IL – Macon Speedway will be hosting their annual Armed Forces Night plus Monster Truck “Raminator”. All Military showing their ID will get in for half price. Also this weekend will be the make up race for the Big Ten Street Stock Series as Macon, Jacksonville, and Shepps Speedway’s team up to offer Street Stock drivers a $3K point fund for 10 races.

 

Comes see Monster Truck “Raminator” that sits 10 foot in height, weights 10,300 lbs. and has 2,000 plus in horsepower. Raminator will be sitting out front for all the fans and kids to see as they arrive to Macon Speedway. Raminator will be signing autographs prior to you entering the grandstands. Raminator will be making his appearance during intermission to entertain the fans with a car crushing and free style.

 

The Big Ten Street Stocks will race on May 29th,  June 5thJuly 17th, and September 4th at MaconJune 4th,July 16th at Jacksonville, and June 6thJuly 18th, and September 5th at Shepps.  Sponsored by Decatur Used Cars.

 

This weekend the fans will get to see TWO features for the UMP Street Stocks and Pro Hornets as they make up the rain out race from May 1st.

 

Touchstone Energy Sportsman will be racing their first Qualifier for the Illinois State Fairgrounds atSpringfield this Saturday night also. As the Top four cars will be guaranteed a starting spot in the Sportsman race at Illinois State Fairgrounds on August 21, 2010.

 

Also on tap for the holiday weekend is NASCAR NIGHT I on Monday, May 31 with NASCAR stars Justin AllgaierKenny Wallace, and Ken Schrader. Racing that night will be the Northern All Star Late Model Series, UMP Modifieds and Street Stocks.

 

Macon Speedway’s “Best Fan in the Stands” sponsored by All Service Racing Parts and Sheet Metal, located on Damon Ave. across from Firestone. “All Service Racing Parts is your only All Star Performance dealer in Decatur”. A lucky fan will win $100 this week if their name is draw from the box after the Modified feature event. If the Best Fan in the Stands is not present the prize money will roll over into next week’s prize.  Macon Speedway will also be drawing an extra 50/50 ticket to give one lucky fan a ride in the Macon Speedway 2 seater Late Model driven by one of Macon Speedway’s local drivers.

    

Saturday night’s schedule will feature five UMP divisions, including the Modifieds, Touchstone Energy Sportsman, Street Stock, Pro Hornets, and Amateur Hornets.

 

Macon Speedway offers fun family entertainment every Saturday night from April to September.  With many fan favorite events on schedule, including three “Night of NASCAR Stars” nights planned and the famous Herald and Review 100, UMP’s premier Summer National event, 2010 is stacking up to be a memorable year.  Be sure to come join Macon Speedway for an action packed summer. 

 

Macon Speedway where every Saturday Night we race gates will open at 5:00 and racing will start at 7:00. Adults are $10 and kids 12 and under get in for free with a paying adult. Military will get in for half price showing their ID.
