All Stars, Family Fun Headline Millstream Speedway Opener

Findlay, OH, July 2, 2015 – The excitement and anticipation is really building now, as the grand reopening of Millstream Speedway is nearly here.  After three unsuccessful opening attempts by new promoters Randy and Lisa Hammer were thwarted by rain, the forecast appears favorable for the roar of engines to once again sound across the classic old race facility.

Most race fans know what to expect when Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions sprint car series pulls in the gate – some of the best wheel-to-wheel racing action by some of the best sprint car drivers in the world.  What they may not expect is the fun and festivities that await them before the cars ever hit the track.

Beginning at 1pm when all gates open, fans will have three hours of open pit access with just a general admission ticket.  Military personnel and equipment will be on display.  There will be plenty of activity in the infield, including the Brent Lowery Band playing until shortly before hot laps.  The “Hoserville, Ohio” group will host a cornhole tournament, with all proceeds going to their injured driver fund.  There will be plenty of driver / fan interaction, with autograph opportunities and driver interviews.  Fans can also test their knowledge with some racing trivia sessions throughout the day.  All attendees are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to deposit into “Darrel the Barrel.”  All items will be donated to the Hancock County Food Pantry.

Millstream Motorsports Complex, home of Millstream Speedway, is located 3 miles west of Findlay.  Take US-224 West to Twp. Rd 136, turn right, just 2 blocks to the corner of Twp. Rd. 136 and  Twp. Rd. 95. Gates open at 1pm and track action begins at 6pm.  General admission is $20, Seniors (65 & older) $15, Youth 11-15 $10, and under 10 are FREE.  Any military personnel bringing ID or a DD11-13 will get $2 off admission.  Please no stakes to mark the hill, spray paint OK, no tape on bleachers. Up to 14" coolers, no beer carried in but can be purchased there, no glass.
