Jason White is a professional race car driver based in Sun Peaks, British Columbia. He has three children, Quinn (14) Jaida (8) Ryder (2), and is married to Melissa Mckenzie.  Motorsports is in the blood, as his dad Marty was a west coast supermodified Champion in the 70's, 80's and 90's, also older brother Jim has a collection of Championships ranging from super modifieds to Cascar.   Jason started racing cars at the age of 15 and followed the family  traditions with a Cascar street stock championship at Motoplex Speedway in 2003, then moved on to capture Rookie of the year titles in the now defunct Cascar Super series (2005)  and then claiming the first ever Rookie of the year honours in the 2008  Nascar Canadian Tire Series.

Jason was also an avid rugby player for 15 years and retired at the age of  31, while playing at the highest levels of rugby in his home province of British Columbia.  Not being one to sit still, he took his dedication and passion of skiing to the sport of Speed Skiing. Travelling around the world with the Canadian Speed skiing team, Jason competed in numerous World Cup events and clocked a top speed of 205km/h!!  Ya on skis!!

At the age of 37, Jason is looking to capture the coveted Nascar Canadian Tire Series title in the near future!

After a year of mechanical struggle, Jason White set out to change the ways for the 2011 season.

The native of Sun Peaks, British Columbia, formed a partnership with DJK Racing to get horsepower and technical support from DJK Racing engine builder Doug Kennington.

“After last season we took a look at our program and realized we needed to make some changes to take the next step up,” White explained in a press release. “I talked to a lot of people and different teams and knew that aligning Jason White Racing with DJK Racing was the right move. DJ and Doug Kennington will provide us with plenty of horsepower, the cars will be race ready, and you couldn’t find a more professional group to work with.”

DJK Racing is coming off of a successful season as last year, D.J. Kennington won the Canadian Tire Series Championship after winning five races.

“I’m excited to work with White,” he said. “He has been a friend for a long time and I think we can help each other. Having teammates really helps.”

White has also formed a partnership with Kawartha Speedway Group, acquiring the likes of Derek Lynch, Kawartha Speedway track owner and former Canadian Tire Series competitor, as his crew chief.

“I could not be more keyed up about this season,” White said. “Having somebody as bright as Derek managing the operation and working as Crew chief on race day is fantastic. He brings a lot of knowledge to the job and I know he’ll make me a better driver.”

“I’m looking forward to working with Jason,” Lynch said. “Our involvement will take the strain of logistics off his plate, provide him with great race cars and allow him to focus on driving. It’s also a privilege to be associated with a great company like A&W.”

With all the team principals set and continuing sponsorship from A&W, White now looks towards preparing for the next season.

“We’re going to be busy over the next few months getting ready for the season,” said White. “The No. 21 A & W Dodge Challenger will be ready to hit the track for some testing prior to the start of the season. We’ll have a couple of opportunities to get out to the race track and get comfortable with each other so that we are ready to compete right from the first green flag. I just can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to the new season.”
