Gary began racing in 1998, in the INEX Legends Division. Gary won 3 track championships at 3 different tracks, set several track records and had a feature race winning percentage of over 45% in just over 3 years of racing in this division. In the middle of 2001 Gary moved up to the Mid-American Sportsman Division and raced at several local tracks over 4 1/2 years. During his stint in the Mid-American Divison Gary won many races, 2 track championships and set fast time a staggering 13 times in a row during the 2004 season. In 2006 Gary and the LaMonte Motorsports team moved up to the Super Late Model Division and began racing weekly at Slinger Super Speedway against the toughest competition in the state of Wisconsin. The team only ran a full season in 2007 and they were able to finish in 13th place in the final point standings. This year Gary and the LaMonte Motorsports team will venture into the the ASA Midwest Tour traveling series and will be in several midwestern states throughout the season. The LaMonte Motorsports team is dedicated to recapture the winning ways that they have become used to and look forward to the 2010 season. The 2010 goal is to finish in the top 10 in the final ASA Midwest Tour point standings.

05/02/10 Madison International Speedway ASA Midwest Tour 12 Car was OK, we made a couple of mistakes and it cost us a starting spot. Looking forward to redeeming ourselves at Elko.
06/06/10 Elko Speedway ASA Midwest Tour 6 Rained out on Saturday, the crew chief and one member had to go home for a family function and missed the show by one spot. Should have been in the show.
06/11/10 Hawkeye Downs Raceway ASA Midwest Tour 12 Had a good car but overdrove it in qualifying, got wrecked in the last chance race. Broke the rear end when someone got under us from behind had to pull off.
06/19/10 Illiana Motor Speedway ASA Midwest Tour 4 Fought the car in practice, made some last minute adjustments prior to qualifying and got the car really good. The crossmember hit the ground really hard both laps of qualifying and ended up 27th. Car was great for the last chance race but we ran out of time to get a transfer spot. We are making progress each week and look forward to a successful return to Madison.
06/29/10 Madison International Speedway ASA MIdwest Tour 25 Qualified 24th, missed getting in on time by .022 seconds, ended up with a promoters choice to get in the race. Started right behind Tony Stewart and Kelly Bires who also got in with a promoters choice. A rather unspectacular night, we ended up finishing 25th on the lead lap. It was a decent points night.
07/18/10 Shakopee Raceway ASA Midwest Tour 23 Had a good car in practice, the track really went away in qualifying. Everyone qualified slower than they practiced. Ended up qualifying 20th. Picked up 6 spots in the feature and on lap 37 blew a right front caliper. Ended our night early. Would have easily had a top 10. The car and crew are getting better every week.
08/03/10 Wisconsin International Raceway ASA Midwest Tour 10 Gary and the LaMonte Motorsports team saw WIR for the first time on Tuesday. It took a bit for Gary to get a good feel for the track. We qualified 20th of 37, ended up 10th in the last chance race. Couldn't get tires to match up most of the day. It seems as we get later in the year the tires are becoming more erratic regardless of where you buy them. We will contiue to work hard and make improvements. See everyone in The Dells.
