BILL AND SHIRLEY HALL GOING INTO WICHITA SPORTS HALL OF FAME

Bill Hall and his wife Shirley will be heading into the Wichita Sports Hall of Fame with the induction ceremony set for Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Hillside Christian Church, 8330 East Douglas in Wichita, Ks. Bill and Shirley purchased 81 Speedway located just north of Wichita, Ks. in Park City, Ks. in 1963 and it became a family owned operation that is still going strong with their son, General Manager C. Ray Hall, who took over the daily operation of the speedway in 1971. Bill and Shirley both remained a large part of the tracks operation on race nights unitll their passing, with Shirley maintaining office management and Bill greeting race fans at the front ticket gate. The entire speedway family is very appreciative and excited about the recognition for Bill and Shirley, and congratulate the other inductee's in the class of 2018 that include; Bill Faflick, Greg Marshall, Dwane Martin, Paul Miller, Mike Pelfry, Jessica Smith, LaVerne Smith, Vic Trilli, Steve Woodberry and Ted Woodward.
