NCRA / NSL SPRINTS RETURN TO 81 SPEEDWAY. NCRA MODIFIED OPEN SEASON AT 81 SPEEDWAY

(4/11/2016)

For the second time in this early season, the NCRA / NSL Sprint Cars will find themselves at 81 Speedway in Park City, Ks. on Saturday night, April 16.  As opposed to the March 25-26 National program featuring the Park City Cup / Air Capital Shootout, Saturday nights show will be a regional event paying $2,000 to win.

With the top six in the point standings after the Park City Cup / Air Capital Shootout not expected to be on hand, one has to look down the point standings to find who could be the drivers to lead the open wheel series into action this weekend.

Don Droud Jr, of Lincoln, Ne, driving the Ochs Brothers #1x checks in standing 7th in the point standings followed closely by Tony Bruce Jr, of Liberal, Ks. driving the Danny King #85 sitting 8th in the standings.  Six-time and defending NCRA Sprint Car champion C.J. Johnson, of Quinter, Ks, will check into Saturday nights show sitting 10th in the standings.  Rounding out what would be the top five once the standings settle in with the tour regulars shows Ray Seeman, of Jetmore, Ks. and former NCRA Champion Jeremy Campbell, of Wichita, Ks, sitting 14th and 15th respectivly.

Joining the open wheel maddness will be the season opener for the NCRA Modified division.  Defending NCRA Champion Dan Powers, of Wichita, Ks. will begin his defense at his home track to kick off the 2016 campaign.

Gates open at 5pm, Race time is 7.  Admission is $15.00 Age 11 & Up,  $5.00 Children 6 thru 10.
