Lelands.com URC 360/358 Sprint Nationals Hit Williams Grove Friday!

$20,000 purse for URC fills out July 31card along with 410 sprints

Mechanicsburg Williams Grove Speedway will be back in action with a full slate of sprint car racing this Friday, July 31 at 7:30 pm, including the Lelands.com URC Sprint 360/358 Sprint Car Nationals along with the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints.

 

Full programs of heat racing and feature events are on tap with bonus and lap money in effect for the 410 sprints. 

 

The URC sprints Lelands.com Nationals on Friday will herald the second visit of the season by the traveling band to the track.  

 

The Lelands.com URC Nationals feature will be 25-laps in distance, paying $4,000 to win out of a total purse worth some $20,000.  

 

Perennial URC circuit champion Curt Michael won the tours first show of the season at Williams Grove several weeks ago.

 

It is expected that several Williams Grove 410 sprint regulars will do double duty for the big money URC event.

 

At the June event won by Michael, drivers including Grove point leader Greg Hodnett, Mark Smith, Steve Buckwalter and Aaron Ott all competed in both sprint car divisions. 

 

The drivers of the regular Williams Grove 410 sprint series are coming off of a two-day stand with the World of Outlaws on July 24 and 25 when both shows were scored by members of the Pennsylvania Posse.  

 

Danny Dietrich and Stevie Smith took the popular victories.

 

General admission for the July 31 show is set at $16 with youth ages 13 – 20 admitted for $10.  

 

Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted FREE at Williams Grove Speedway.

 

The track portion of the 50/50 on July 31 will go to the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing.

 

The 358 sprints will return to Williams Grove Speedway along with the 410 sprints on August 7 at 7:30.
