FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will host York County Racing Club Night this Friday, May 29 at 7:30 pm when racing action showcases the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints and the HJ Towing & Recovery 358 sprint cars.

Adult general admission for the show is $14 with youth ages 13 – 20 admitted for $10.

Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted free at Williams Grove Speedway!

The Williams Grove portion of the 50/50 on the night will be donated to the YCRC, a charitable organization that exists solely to recognize and support local dirt track racing, its facilitites and its drivers.

This week’s program for the 410 sprints will offer the chance for both lap and bonus money to any potential winner to go along with the posted $3,600 to win.

Greg Hodnett continues to lead the season point standings for the 410 sprints while Kevin Nouse leads by just 10 markers over Doug Hammaker in the 358 sprint title chase at Williams Grove.

So far this season in seven events for the 410s at the oval, only one driver has been able to repeat in the form of Brian Montieth, who now sits second in the track title standings to Hodnett, after winning three of his last four outings at the oval.

Other winners have been Hodnett, Danny Dietrich, Rodney Westhafer, Stevie Smith and Donny Schatz.

Winners in the 358 sprint division so far this season have been Hammaker, Adrian Shaffer and most recently Brie Hershey.

The month of June arrives at Williams Grove on June 5 with a URC 360/358 Sprint Challenge to go along with regular Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint action.

Just one week later, on June 12, the second and final appearance of the season by the revived All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints will take center stage.

The 305 sprints will also be a part of the June 12 agenda.

Of course, the Williams Grove Saturday Series featuring the super sportsman continues on Saturdays during the summer months with race time at 7 pm each week.
