WHAT: Race 3
WHEN: Saturday May 10th, 2014
WHERE: Flomaton Speedway – ¼ mle clay oval - Flomaton, Alabama
WHY: Race 3 in the SECS 2014 championship Season.
Race Recap: Fast Qualifier – Bo Odom - 1st appearance with the Series – 11.756
Heat Race Winners – Heat 1 Cody Smith (car #3) / Heat 2 Joseph Joiner (Car 10)
Fast qualifier Bo Odom had a right rear tire go flat in the Heat forcing him to start last in the Feature.
A “Six Pack Invert” where the top six starters draw cans with numbers on the bottom to determine their starting position in the Feature shook up the Lineup for the main event putting Craig Turner on the Pole. Turner would keep the lead for the 25 lap event and hand Cody Smith his first loss to date in the Series.
Richie Beasley, making a comeback to dirt Racing found his groove and charged from a 9th starting spot to a 2nd place finish.
Several Cautions slowed the pace - -
Todd Neiheiser had handling problems, some with a little help bringing out two cautions for spins.
- Bo Odom developed some mechanical troubles bringing out one.
- Cody Smith was tagged from behind while attempting to slow for trouble ahead and was allowed to continue after a brief inspection by track safety personnel.

We couldn't be happier at how our “Unusual” points system of awarding 1 point per position (ie 1 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd) is working out. Top 3 separated by two points.
A three way tie for 7th, including Richie Beasley with just one start so far. Two drivers tied for 10th, first time entrant Craig Turner lands 6th after a win.
